Title: Presenting the Heritage of Jordan at The Jordan and The Petra Museums
Abstract:
Jordan has a rich, diverse heritage and world-famous archaeological sites. Over the past two decades, several museums presenting this heritage to the public were established and developed.
This talk will introduce two new museums that were established by the Jordanian Government with financial and technical support from the Japanese Government: The Jordan Museum (in the capital Amman, opened 2013) and The Petra Museum (in Petra, opened 2019). It will discuss the concepts and ideas behind the exhibitions in the two museums and how they are shared with the public, to result in entertaining as well as informative experiences.
